BARBARA C. MOORE,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Barbara is the owner/Clinical Director of SPA and has been practicing speech pathology for over 35 years. She received her master’s degree from California State University, Los Angeles and was awarded a clinical fellowship in cleft palate/craniofacial at Duke University Medical Center. Barbara has been active with the CHOC Cleft/Craniofacial Panel for 25 years. In addition, she is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine and provides speech and language services at For OC Kids Neurodevelopmental Center. She specializes in craniofacial disorders and Autism. |

LESLIE MCCORMACK,M.A.,CCC-SLP: Leslie received her Master’s degree from Cal State, Long Beach. She is SPA's Assistant Clinical Director. Leslie has specialized training in social-cognitive disorders and Autism and directs our Social Skills Groups. In addition, she is the Director of our preschool screening program. |

LEORA SHAFFER,M.A.,CCC-SLP: Leora is the Assistant Administrative Director at SPA. She received her Master’s degree from Cal State, Fullerton with a focus on communicative disorders through grade school age and has been a speech/language pathologist for over 15 years. She specializes in early childhood language disorders, oral motor disorders/apraxia, and stuttering intervention. She was instrumental in developing our stuttering program along with Christi and Debbie. |

MICHELLE WAHLQUIST,M.S.,CCC-SLP:Michelle received her Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders from Arizona State University where she obtained specialized training in pediatric speech & language disorders as well as cleft/craniofacial disorders. She is currently a member of the CHOC Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Panel and participates in monthly nasoendoscopy clinics. Michelle has been the Director and Coordinator of our Toddler Language Groups since 2002. She focuses much of her time working with children on the Autism Spectrum and their families to improve language, play, and social-pragmatic skills. |

CHANTAWAN SATHIENVANTEE,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Cha Cha received her Master's degree from Cal State, Long Beach. Cha Cha worked for SPA as an aide prior to finishing her degree and also volunteered her time in our multidisciplinary groups at For OC Kids. Her particular area of interest is in Autism Spectrum Disorders. She provides speech and language consultation and assessment to For OC Kids Neurodevelopmental Center at the University of California, Irvine. |

DEBBIE LIVESEY,M.S.,CCC-SLP:Debbie received her Master's degree in Communication Disorders from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has a special interest in stuttering, and was trained as an intern at the American Institute for Stuttering in New York City. She is a member of ASHA’s Special Interest 4 on fluency disorders, as well as the Stuttering Foundation of America and the National Stuttering Association. She developed SPA’s stuttering program along with Leora and Christi. Debbie has a special interest in stuttering, early childhood language, caregiver training, and voice disorders in teenagers and adults. |

MARY WARDEN,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Mary is a graduate of Cal State, Long Beach where she earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communicative Disorders. She joined the staff at SPA in 2005. Mary has over 20 years experience in the field of speech/language pathology, with her primary areas of specialization in craniofacial disorders and early intervention. She has been a member of CHOC’s Cleft Palate/Craniofacial Team since 1991. Mary has more than 20 years experience in early intervention preschool programs. Prior to joining our staff, Mary acted as program coordinator and worked in program development. She has trained and supervised both students and clinical fellows. In addition, she has been a guest lecturer and panel participant at local universities and school districts. |

LISA LEE,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Lisa received her Master’s degree from the University of Arizona and has worked in the field for the past three years. Lisa has participated on the CHOC Cleft/Craniofacial Panel since 2005 and teaches the Toddler Language Groups with Michelle. Lisa’s areas of interest are in early child language disorders and cleft palate/craniofacial disorders. |

KATIE ADAMS,M.S.,CCC-SLP:Katie received her Master's degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State, Northridge. In addition to individual therapy, Katie is involved in our social-cognitive groups. Katie specializes in early childhood language disorders and Autism. |

NATALIE JOHNSTON,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Natalie completed her Master's degree at Cal State, Fullerton. Her particular interest lies in preschool children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and children with specific speech and language impairments. She is a firm believer in the power of songs and story books in early language development and intervention. Natalie's previous experience includes volunteering as a SLP aide, working as a teacher's aide in elementary schools and as a one-to-one aide with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. |

KATIE WEEKS,M.S.,CCC-SLP:Katie received her Master’s degree from Loma Linda University. She has experience working in both medical and educational settings. She specializes in early childhood language disorders, phonological disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders and stuttering. |

PAULA JOE,M.A.:Paula received her Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Cal State, Los Angeles as well as a Masters Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Asuza Pacific University. She comes to us from Rancho Los Amigos Rehabilitation Center where she treated patients with traumatic brain injury and stroke. Paula has provided speech therapy in the public schools and worked as an aide at a clinic in West Los Angeles. |

CHARLENE GEDDES,M.A.,CCC-SLP: Charlene received her Master’s degree from Cal State, Long Beach. She has previously worked in the school system where she treated children with various communication disorders. She has worked alongside behavior specialists and occupational therapists to provide therapy for children with Autism in clinical, home, and school settings. Charlene’s special area of interest is in early childhood speech and language disorders. |

BECKY GARMS, M.S., CCC-SLP: Becky received her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Iowa. She has had experience in both pediatric and adult settings working with individuals who exhibit speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. Her areas of interest include early child language, cleft palate, voice, and adult language. |

CHRISTI OWEN,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Christi has been a speech pathologist for the past 20 years. Christi received her Master’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Texas. She is certified by the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association in dysfluency disorders. Her primary area of expertise is in child and adult dysfluency. In addition, Christi works with our language disordered children. |

CINDY WINEINGER, M.A.,CCC-SLP:Cindy has worked clinically for more than 25 years with both children and adults in Orange County. She attended Northwestern University for her Bachelor’s degree and received her Master’s degree from the University of Redlands. Her main interest is in the assessment and intervention of young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition to her first love of working with children, she is on the Communicative Disorders faculty at the University of Redlands where she clinically trains students. |

KAY DABLER,M.S.:Kay received her Master’s degree in communicative disorders from Cal State, Northridge. In addition to her work at SPA, Kay provides services to children at the Rehabilitation Institute of Orange. Kay’s special area of interest is in early childhood speech and language disorders. |

ZINA RHEE,M.A.,CCC-SLP:Zina received her Master’s degree at Cal State, Los Angeles. She has been working with Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder since 1997. Zina was a clinical instructor and lecturer in the Psychology department at Cal State, Los Angeles, specializing in behavioral treatment of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is certified in the Hanen Program. Zina provides services at For OC Kids Neurodevelopmental Center at the University of California, Irvine. Her special interests are in Autism Spectrum Disorder and related social-cognitive disorders, early intervention and caregiver training, and literacy. |
